Mometavet Otic Suspension is a prescription ear medication designed to treat and manage ear infections in dogs caused by susceptible strains of yeast and bacteria. This powerful formula combines an antibiotic, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory agent to effectively reduce inflammation, eliminate infection, and alleviate pain and discomfort. Mometavet® is easy to apply and provides rapid relief for your pet's ear health.

Indications:

  • Treatment of otitis externa (outer ear infection) in dogs
  • Effective against susceptible strains of bacteria and yeast
  • Reduces inflammation and associated discomfort

Dosage Information:

  • The recommended dosage for Mometavet® Otic Suspension varies based on the size of the dog and the severity of the infection. Typical dosage ranges are:
    • Dogs weighing less than 30 lbs: 4 drops into the ear canal once daily
    • Dogs weighing 30 lbs or more: 8 drops into the ear canal once daily
  • Continue treatment for 7 days or as directed by your veterinarian.

Administration:

  1. Shake the bottle well before use.
  2. Clean the ear canal thoroughly before applying Mometavet®.
  3. Hold the ear flap up and administer the prescribed number of drops into the ear canal.
  4. Gently massage the base of the ear to ensure even distribution of the medication.
  5. Repeat in the other ear if necessary.
  6. Wash hands thoroughly after application.

Precautions:

  • For use in dogs only. Do not use in cats.
  • Not for use in animals with known perforated eardrums.
  • Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
  • Use with caution in pregnant or lactating animals.
  • Discontinue use and consult your veterinarian if any adverse reactions occur.
